How to Upgrade Your Android Software Version

Step 1: Connect to Wi-Fi

Before you start, please connect your phone to a Wi-Fi network. Software updates can be large and may not download over mobile data.

Step 2: Check Your Battery

Make sure your phone is charged to at least 50% and keep the phone plugged into a charger. This prevents the phone from turning off during the update.

Step 3: Find the Software Update Menu

1. Open the Settings app on your phone (it looks like a gear icon).
2. Scroll down and tap on Software update.
3. Tap Download and install. (If you can’t find it, search for “Software update” in the Settings search bar.)

Step 4: Download & Install

1. Your phone will now check for available updates.
2. If an update is found, tap Download. Wait for the download to finish.
3. Once downloaded, tap Install now or Restart now.

Your phone will restart and install the update. This process may take several minutes. Please do not turn off your phone while it is updating.
